Meet the judges: Elicia Putnam


We are thrilled to be welcoming a great panel of judges for Startup Weekend. They have diverse expertise to really look at the merits of the Startup Weekend Pitches from a variety of disciplines. This series of posts will introduce them one by one.

Elicia Putnam

Elicia has been on both sides of the investor table. She’s currently CEO of PrestoBox, a software start-up that’s automating branding for small businesses. The company is part of the Portland Seed Fund and is in the initial stages of raising its first seed round.

Previously, Elicia was an investor with Oregon Angel Fund, Angel Oregon, Women’s Investment Network, and Bend Venture Conference. She’s invested in over 25 companies, including bio tech, clean tech, consumer products, and Internet companies. She sits on the board of Chez Marie, the 2012 Angel Oregon winner.
Elicia comes from a branding background, having run a regional branding agency for 12 years. With a focus on building brands that led to business success, the agency helped a a large multi-specialty clinic achieve its most profitable year in its 68-year history and helped an online retail business grow revenues over 350%.
Elicia received her BA from Stanford but has proudly called the Northwest home for the past 17 years.
